What Constitutes A Good PTC?

Everyday, five new PTC sites are created. Three of them will only have intentions to scam members, one will never become popular, and the last one will get huge amount of users. But what really defines a good PTC site?

This is up to you! In my opinion, a site that offers a high rate per click, tons of ads, low payout, quick payout (or auto pay), and a good forum with support would be just perfect. You may have noticed that some of the sites on the sidebar were removed because of missing and unwanted features.

Before you register to a site, you should always check out the site statistics. Don't just sign up for every site you see! Find out how many members the site has, the payout limit, the amount received per click, and read the Terms of Service (TOS). If the site has less than seven ads, you might want to avoid it. It'll take you weeks to reach the redeem amount. If it takes more than 1,000 clicks to reach payout, definitely avoid that site. They're not trying to pay their members! Also, if there's no forum, go ahead and close that site window! Too much verification, such as captchas before or after every click, can be very annoying and a waste of time.

Basically, a good PTC site has an easy to reach payout and actually pays the members quickly. And if there are any problems or concerns, members should be able to contact other members and the admin.

The Importance Of A Strong Downline

A downline can make a huge difference in your PTC earnings. With no downline, you will earn barely anything and may reach payout in a month. A weak downline may earn you a few dollars per week. A nice, strong downline will increase your earnings over 300% and can help you reach payout at least once a week!

Most people think that referrals are an unnecessary part of paid to click programs. These people are also the most unsuccessful! Without a strong downline, it is very hard to reach the payout limit as often as you'd like. Referring people who want to make money just as much as you do is key. Don't waste your time generating sign ups for users who will log on every once in a while. In order to find the people who want to make money and will click everyday, you must be in the right place at the right time. Forums, Q&A boards, social networks, and other PTC sites are key to your downline success.

Forums and Q&A boards (Yahoo Answers, etc.) don't allow blatant advertising, but putting a referral /blog link in your signature or at the end of your reply is acceptable. If you place a link at the end of your post, make sure it's relevant and your post was helpful and thorough- not just a sentence or two!

Social networking covers a wide variety of websites. Building a fan page on Facebook, a business networking page on Myspace, Squidoo lens, and a Hubpage site are many ways to promote your links. Also, digging, stumbling, and saving your links is a key component to traffic for potential referrals.

Lastly, other PTC sites can provide you with more referrals. If someone is a member of a PTC site, they are probably likely to join more. You can pay to have your site listed, or just exchange your earnings for advertising.

Conclusion
It's important to go where the referrals are. Don't always expect them to come to you. Be helpful and don't settle for quick but weak referrals!

Receiving Payments

The most important thing in making money online is receiving payments. How do you expect to have access to your money if it is still in your PTC account? Most websites will use these 3 payment processors:
  1. PayPal- This is a very trusted virtual bank. It's been around since 1998! Most sites will not use this, but it is very important to have an account with PayPal.
  2. E-Gold- They've been around since 1996 and are very secure. They don't charge you for sending or receiving money. Your account balance can also be converted into ounces of gold to be sent to you. Many older PTC sites will use this.
  3. AlertPay- This is quickly becoming the most popular choice for payment processors. Just about every PTC site will use this, so register here first. You must verify your account before transferring money to your bank account or receiving checks.
There are also hundreds of other payment processors, but these are the most used and secure. Never sign up for a virtual bank before doing a little research. You are giving them your bank information and/or address, therefore you cannot afford to risk your personal information.

How Can I Identify A Scam?

If you're a newbie of paid-to-click (PTC), you should know that scams are hard to avoid. Almost everyone wants to steal your money. Luckily, there are some ways to identify scams. Sometimes a website may appear as a scam, but actually pays. Use your best judgment!

  1. Does the site have its own domain? Only use websites that have their own TLD such as www.sitename.com/.net/.org. Avoid .info sites.
  2. Does the site use free hosting? If a site can't afford hosting for $5 a year, what makes you think they can afford to send out the first payments?
  3. How professional does the website look? If the site has mismatched graphics, lots of animation, or sound, you should definitely veer away from it!
  4. What's going on in the forum? If the website has a forum, see what the members are saying. If they're complaining, you might not want to be a part of that site.
Although these guidelines are 99.99% right, you should always use your own judgment!
Good Luck!

Why Do People Hate PTC?

The idea of getting paid to view advertisements has never sat well in the stomachs of Internet Business Experts. They prefer affiliate marketing or domain and website flipping. But these people have never actually given PTC sites a chance. Sure, there are some bad qualities, but it evens out overall.

One thing that makes PTC a risky business is the reliability. The owners may allow you to build up a huge downline and make enough money to request payout, but then they delete your account or shut down the entire site. Some websites pay some members and neglect others.

Although reliability is a huge negative factor, PTC offers an easy way to make money online with no real website or business sense. Of course you may need advertising skills in order to get referrals and reach payout faster.

All in all, it's important to do a little research about each and every PTC site you join. It will be very disappointing to discover that your account has been deleted after many days of hard work.
Good Luck!

Get Prepared

There's more to PTC sites than meets the eye. You can truly earn a lot more money than most people think. Those who say you cannot earn at all are stuck up, and very ignorant. I hope that didn't offend anyone, but I have to admit, I was a stuck up and very ignorant person who hated PTC sites. The entire concept was stupid to me and seemed worthless. However, I did not know its potential.

Before you just jump into PTC sites, there are some things you should do to prepare yourself and organize materials. PTC doesn't just require a mouse (or keypad) and eyes!
  • E-Currency Account(s)
PTC sites pay via virtual banks such as PayPal, E-Gold, Alertpay, MoneyBookers, etc. It's important that you go ahead and create an account for at least the first 3 banks stated. These will be most often used.
  • Pen and Notepad
This is needed so you can keep track of the sites you are using. You should be visiting the sites daily to reach the payout as quickly as possible. Write down all of the sites you are using and even a few notes or your current earnings. You can also use Excel or Word instead.
  • TIME!!
I cannot stress the importance of this enough! Time is key! You should set out at least 5 hours each day to click ads and promote your referral links. Having the referral links all on one site is very helpful so you can just direct visitors to it and all links will be shown. If you don't have more than 5 hours everyday to promote your website, PTC probably won't work too well for you.

Good Luck & Get Started!
